Family, Friends & Relationships:
In general The Two of Swords tells us that your partnerships are likely to be going at least somewhat well, whether these be friendships, romantic, or business. However, you should consider the depths of your commitment to equality in these and whether or not you are being treated as an equal by your partners. If you are not, it may be time to bring things back into balance. This will almost certainly require open communication on your part. Nothing changes without effort.

The Two of Swords is often a card about partnership and balance. It usually refers to a ‘partnership’ with just one other person as opposed to with groups of people. This card shows a need for give and take (none of us are always right 100% of the time, and everyone to some degree has something to offer.) Consider to what degree your life, and your partnerships, are in balance.

Portable Magic: Concentrate your mind strongly on the elemental spirit of the Two of Swords. As you hold in your awareness the nature of the elemental, which you conceive as a slender woman with short dark hair who wears a long white gown, mentally voice the title of the spirit, the Lady of Peace Restored. Feel that spirit drawing closer to the circle, aware of your presence.
Complete Book of Tarot: Many readers pull a daily card at random as a focus for contemplation. There is nothing special about drawing a new card each day. If your ‘daily’ card seems particularly meaningful, feel free to ponder it for several days before moving on to another card. If it feels irrelevant, you are free to choose a different card for the day. My own practice is to keep a tarot deck on my desk so that I can shuffle the cards and draw one whenever the spirit moves me. The following suggestions may be helpful for your daily draw:

Complete Book of Tarot: When upright, the Devil suggests that you have an opportunity to pursue activities that provide intense pleasure and satisfaction. This card often appears when we are contemplating a project requiring an almost obsessional devotion to achieve a material ambition. The Devil cautions us to maintain balance in our lives as we eagerly pursue this goal and not to allow excessive attachment to material temptations to lead us astray.
