Family, Friends & Relationships:
You may notice many synchronicities, which point towards deep, spiritual events taking place regardless of the importance of their superficial appearances. You should be finding that you have the knowledge, strength, and inspiration needed to meet your challenges. In general this is a very positive time for you. It is important to note though that to make the very most of this time you will need to do your part. Even though the Magician is a very positive card it is all about potential.

The Mage is about making higher and better use of all of one’s power. Spiritual, emotional, and otherwise. This is another card that often signifies new beginnings and great expectations. This is a very powerful, positive omen in a reading. This card reminds us that we have the power to make a difference, in our lives and in the greater world, if we simply make a point to try. You should note that this is not magic in the sense that you need to do spell-work or anything of that nature. It’s also not ‘magic’ like a stage illusionist performs, which is the somewhat superficial appearance of wondrous feats. This is actual transformation of the literal and figurative world in normal ways. You are not going to have it all handed to you on a plate, but you have the potential to have that plate and a lot of what’s on it if you do the magic yourself. The Mage is all about action. If you do nothing you’ll get nothing. If you don’t know what to do then just do something because anything is better than nothing. In other words if you don’t try you won’t get.

Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Elements of the Psychic World: According to lore, which dates back to medieval times, it is said that a messenger who arrived one day at the castle with unpleasant news was stuffed into a drum and tossed over the castle walls. Just before he died he vowed to haunt the family forever, and for hundreds of years after it was said that whenever ghostly drumming was heard a member of the family died.

Portable Magic: Compounding the difficulty of understanding the origin of the picture tarot cards is their evolution. The twenty-two images did not remain fixed, but changed over the centuries, and varied from place to place. The structure of the Tarot as a whole was in flux in the early decades of its use for gaming purposes. In some c o u n ~ i e these number of tarot cards expanded, while in others it was reduced. Given this mutation of the Tarot, it is surprising how easy it is to recognize Tarot decks, even when there are many variations from what is considered to be the standard deck of seventy-eight tarot cards. While individual tarot cards were added, discarded, or modified, the soul of the Tarot the essence that gave it a unique, enduring identity remained intact.
Tarot Triumphs: 46 Popular illustrations of ‘monsters’ who had reputedly been born to unfortunate women in early Renaissance Italy appear on broadsides and woodcuts circulated at the time. They were drawn in a manner very similar to the Tarot Devil, with the same improbable leathery wings, horns, and clawed feet and a curious combination of male, female, and animal characteristics. Such creatures were feared and perhaps comprehended as spawn of the Devil. See Ottavia Niccoli, Prophecy and People in Renaissance Italy, trans. Lydia G. Cochrane (Princeton University Press, 1990), 3941.

Elements of the Psychic World: Even though Stevenson and Eisenbud had taken great care to guard against fraud, and Serios never admitted to cheating, they were nevertheless charged with fraud. The charges were never proved and Stevenson and Eisenbud countered by arguing that many of Serioss images were distortions that could not be explained or duplicated with trick camera or other methods of transferring images. For example, on one of Serioss thoughtographs, which has been identified as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Air Hangar in Ontaro, the word Canadian is mysteriously misspelled Cainadain.
