Faith, Spirituality Or Psychic Progression:
When this card appears it’s critical to realize that you have a duty to protect yourself; physically, spiritually, and emotionally. If you have been treated badly by anyone, repeatedly, whether it is your boss, your children, or your best friend, it is now past time to either address the situation or to end the relationship. You are your own best advocate, no one can (or should) do it for you.
Card Meanings: Duty-Bound, No Stamina, Cleverness, Off-Loading, Insurmountable Problems, Collapse, Strength, Breakdown, Flogging A Dead Horse, Dumping, Shirking Duties/Responsibilities, Energy, Too Much Responsibility/ Stress, Learning To Say No, Working Hard But Getting Nowhere, Resigned To Fate, Not Up To The Challenge, Cross Too Heavy To Bear
When the Ten of Wands appears, you may feel as though you are carrying a very heavy burden. You may want to look hard at this and see if there are any ways that you might lighten your load either literally or figuratively. If you look carefully you may find that part of the burden you are carrying emotionally actually belongs to someone else. It will be important for you to pace yourself now. Don’t try to do too much.

Creative Tarot: The Ten of Wands, then, can show up as a warning. It also asks you to interrogate the dark side of passion. How the trajectory of the Wands, which starts off so promising, so exciting, ends up in such a disappointing state.
Tarot Triumphs: When I first began researching the origins of Tarot imagery many years ago, I was astonished to find that this image of a turning world appeared in medieval art in a form known as ‘Christ in Glory,’ or ‘Majesty,’ as it is commonly entitled. But instead of the dancer, as depicted here, it shows Christ enthroned at the center of the world. Both versions, however, are surrounded by the symbols of the Four Evangelists: ox, lion, eagle, and angel.66 The Tarot Triumph seemed an audacious substitution, especially since the dancer is a naked young woman draped only with a flimsy scarf, which if anything heightens her charms rather than covers them. However, there is another way of looking at this, I discovered. This Tarot image could have been perceived, in Renaissance times especially, as the anima mundi, or the world soul. This is a way in which Neoplatonic teachings could be understood within the Christian framework of the time, and an image that combined the two might have been acceptable even to more conventional minds.

Reversed Cards: Lets say for a second that the scene we are looking at on this card has been inflicted upon the woman. Someone else has placed her in the position against her will. Follow this through to its logical conclusion. If this is the case, why is she still there? There is obviously no one there to stop her from leaving. The swords themselves dont block her, and her ropes dont seem too tight. Why does she stay? As a point of reflection, consider this: Why do you stay in situations and conditions that bind you? For here in the mirror aspect, she is reflecting something present in your life. How does this illusion of being stuck serve you?
