Family, Friends & Relationships:
When the Ten of Wands appears reversed, you may be tired, dealing with delays, and feeling overstretched. This is not necessarily something that you need to push through. You may be far better served by taking a break. Even a short few hours to relax and de-stress can be helpful. Seek out upbeat people.
Card Meanings: Duty-Bound, No Stamina, Cleverness, Off-Loading, Insurmountable Problems, Collapse, Strength, Breakdown, Flogging A Dead Horse, Dumping, Shirking Duties/Responsibilities, Energy, Too Much Responsibility/ Stress, Learning To Say No, Working Hard But Getting Nowhere, Resigned To Fate, Not Up To The Challenge, Cross Too Heavy To Bear
When the Ten of Wands appears, you may feel as though you are carrying a very heavy burden. You may want to look hard at this and see if there are any ways that you might lighten your load either literally or figuratively. If you look carefully you may find that part of the burden you are carrying emotionally actually belongs to someone else. It will be important for you to pace yourself now. Don’t try to do too much.

Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Elements of the Psychic World: Not surprisingly, word spread during the month of terror, and reporters and investigators were regular visitors to the house. Several theories were put forward. Some thought Ted was playing tricks on his family, but this was denied by his parents. Others suggested radio signals, sound waves and earth tremors, but no proof was found. The police could find no evidence of explosives. A local plumber suggested that the hot air furnace might be the culprit. He urged the family to equalize pressure by opening the dining room windows. The Joneses followed his instructions, and the incidents stopped, causing the family to credit the plumber with solving the mystery.

Reversed Cards: In many respects, I find this aspect of upside-down cards to be very liberating. For if we see a card through the protection approach, it means the card has slowed us down or stopped us dead in our tracks for a reason. Think about how having cards in a protection aspect can actually be beneficial to your reading and your outcome. Think about how many times you have asked the question ‘How much longer?’ in a reading. This impatience is in all of us, yet getting to where we think we want to be in the shortest possible time is not always the best thing that could happen to us or those around us. With a card in the protection aspect, we get the opportunity to see what we would miss if we continued on our rush to the finish line path.
Reversed Cards: In all honesty, the knights of the tarot really could have their own book. They encompass hundreds of years of duty, honor, and integrity. The knights code is complex, and we really could spend hours upon hours debating how each of the tarot knights represents the many different facets of the knightly code. These four cards merge history, myth, and legend. They share a story of what it means to be of service. They teach us about devotion and commitment. The knights know that a long life is not guaranteed and that nothing should be taken for granted. These lessons can be much harder to learn when one is upside down and back to front.

Tarot for Beginners: Interest in the Tarot grew quietly over the next few decades, until it reached unprecedented popularity in the U.S. in the 1960s. Since that time, a variety of new decks, philosophies, and approaches to reading the Tarot have developed. Where occultists used to argue for a specific set of interpretations that must be memorized in order to read the cards, 21st-century mystics see these things differently, emphasizing intuition over rigorous study. Many argue that as society develops and changes, so do the messages available in the Tarot. However, it is still considered useful to begin ‘at the beginning,’ with a basic understanding of the principles of Tarot as they were developed through the Tarot of Marseilles, and later, the Waite-Smith deck.
