Romance, Love Or Relationships:

Messages of love and affection are likely to be coming your way. If you are single, a new suitor with whom you have a lot in common, and who is also very adventuresome, may be about to burst into your world. Take a chance on them, but only if you’re available. If you’re committed and unhappy, now’s the time to begin deciding if the relationship can be saved, and how long you will try to make it happen. Both parties have to be willing to work in a relationship. If your partner isn’t, it might be time to move on.

Cards such as The Page very often indicate a literal person in our lives. In this case, it can indicate a female who is younger than the querent. Such people are warm, ambitious, and usually high achievers. If not a literal person, The Page of Wands indicates the energy of easy distraction. Try to stay focused.

Book Details
Complete Book of Tarot: Card 7, likely outcome: Four of Wands. This card generally depicts peace and security. The spread appeared to advise the querent to continue supporting his son in a loving manner as a cherished member of the family. Despite the son’s guilt and depression, his awareness of his parents’ love and caring would help him get through this difficult time.

Complete Book of Tarot: When reversed, the Page of Wands may bring bad news or indicate the delay of a message the querent was expecting. New projects may run into snags or have trouble getting off the ground. The querent may need to guard against reckless, impulsive, or overly ambitious behavior. A stranger or foreigner may be a source of difficulties.

Complete Book of Tarot: Without a doubt, the Waite-Smith deck, published originally by the Rider Company in 1909, has been the most popular modern deck in the English-speaking world. After leaving the Order of the Golden Dawn, A. E. Waite set out to publish a deck of his own. Working with artist Pamela Colman Smith (known as ‘Pixie’), Waite produced a unique deck that, unlike the Marseille pattern decks, illustrated each of the forty pip cards with a scene evocative of the card’s divinatory meaning. It was the first deck since the Sola-Busca of 1491 to be illustrated in this fashion. The presence of scenes and characters on each card rendered this deck one of the easiest to learn and made tarot reading accessible to the masses. Many modern decks, including the Llewellyn Classic Tarot used to illustrate this text, are clones of the Waite-Smith images.

Complete Book of Tarot: Practice making up a story about each card in your deck and speak it out loud. What is the emotional climate of the card? What do the colors on the card evoke in your imagination? What kind of situation might the card represent? What are the characters thinking and feeling? Where have they come from to get to this point on the card? Where are they headed after the scene on the card has run its course? What do their postures and facial expressions suggest? If they could speak, what might they be saying? If you were in their situation, how would you be feeling? What would you do about it?
