Romance, Love Or Relationships:

You may be 100% convinced that you are right and your partner is wrong about something when The reversed Nine of Wands appears in the context of love. That may indeed be the case, but you are not going to force your partner to see your point of view through anger and coercion. Try a gentle approach, and find out what underlies your partner’s point of view or actions. If you are looking for love, again, a gentle, thoughtful approach can work wonders. Hot and fast pursuit is likely to get you burned now.

Card Meanings: Rigid, Stalemate, Chronic Fatigue, Refusing To Compromise/ Give In, Giving Up, No Fight Left, Falling At The Final Hurdle, Weakness, Adversity, Retreat, Obstinate, Ill-Health, Unexpected Trouble, Lack Of Courage/ Persistence/ Perseverance/ Backbone, Dropping Your Guard, Not Learning From Past, Stubborn, Last One Standing, Withdrawal

This is basically a very positive card, however as you move towards the highest cards in the suit, more complexity and difficulty can be indicated. The Nine of Wands is where some would say this begins. This card can indicate anxiety and worry – being burdened and keyed up over concerns.

Elements of the Psychic World
Book Details
Elements of the Psychic World: Applied psi is used today when anyone acts on his or her intuition to make a decision. Experimental studies of applied psi date back to the eighteenth century, but it wasn’t until the twentieth century that the discipline was seriously explored. In 1963 the Newark College of Engineering in New Jersey became one of the first engineering centres in the US to explore psi ability in people. Researchers found that successful people use psi and precognition daily in their jobs in the form of intuition, hunches and gut feelings. In the early 1980s, American parapsychologist Jeffrey Mishlove urged parapsychologists to assume that psi existed and to focus on ways to use it in everyday life. By 1984 applied psi did become an informal part of a number of fields, including archaeology, agriculture, executive decision-making, scientific discovery, military intelligence, criminal investigations and weather prediction. However, over subsequent years the erratic nature of psi made it an unreliable tool.

Angel Insights : My brother would turn away from me and I would close my eyes. Then he would pick one of the cards and say, ‘What color card am I holding now?’ I could always guess what color he was holding because that color would flash into my mind within a few seconds of his asking the question. It was uncanny how I could always guess the correct color and my brother and I were both struck by my accuracy. Once I remember being upset because I thought he’d stumped me—or that I was losing my intuitive ability. Several times in a row I could not guess the color of the card he was holding, because I kept seeing two colors in my mind every time he asked the question. ‘I don’t know,’ I told him with my eyes closed. ‘I keep seeing two colors at once today. Right now I see green and yellow. I see both equally. I can’t make a good guess.’

Reversed Cards: My aim with this book is to give you more tools to work with when these upside-down, topsy-turvy cards dance into your readings. It is not a definitive work on reversals, as there are just as many ways to look at an upside-down card as there is a right-way-up card. It is, however, a start. It’s a beginning point to get you more comfortable with accessing the lessons, knowledge, and wisdom these types of cards bring to a reading. In many ways this is a beginner book, for it won’t deal with complex theories or higher levels of tarot understanding. It is merely a simple guide to exploring reversed cards, to make sense of cards that often leave the tarot newbies scratching their heads and wondering what it all means. In this book I will mainly be referencing Llewellyn’s Classic Tarot, for its closeness to the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. However, every so often I will make reference to other decks, including The Raven’s Prophecy Tarot. This deck has some outstanding images in reverse, though there is little to nothing about reversed cards in the companion book to this deck. If this book brings you more confidence and enthusiasm when dealing with reversed cards, then I have done my job with this text.
