My divination practice does not include reversals of the cards. In all the readings that I cover in this book, the cards are always placed right-side up. As a Tarot reader, my relationship with the cards is with the core symbol, and I don’t wish to dilute that by introducing shifts that veil the prime meaning of the card. Reversals seem to me like a kind of intellectual overlay, which can come between you and the intimate experience of the card. However, the choice will be yours, and you should find that recommendations for layouts and interpretations in this book can be used with reversals if you so wish.
