Well-Being, Physical Health Or Mental Health:
The reversed Five of Swords shows that you may be under tremendous stress now. However, at least some of this is stress which you are causing for yourself. Back up and realize that you can control some of this. You don’t have to (and can’t) do everything. Make time for rest and relaxation, and realize that not everything must be perfect. You are human, after all. Forgive yourself.
Card Meanings: Revenge, Communication, Regret, Shame, Loss, Ending Conflict, Compromise, Overcoming Challenge, Escalating Violence, Defeat, Uncovered Crime, Major Sacrifice, Unfairness, Humiliation, Releasing Stress, Moving On, Risk Everything, Peaceful Resolution, Relentless, Remorse, Not Heeding Warnings, Arrest, Held Accountable
When the Five of Swords appears, you are likely to find yourself with some mixed feelings about life in general and about a few people in particular. Don’t ignore these, but don’t feel like you have to speak every word you’re thinking and feeling either, as you could ruin the very things that you want the most – such as close, intimate relationships with your friends and lover. Think several times before you really let someone have it even if they deserve it. Pick your battles.

Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Elements of the Psychic World: Technique that uses mental images and affirmations to produce positive change within a person. It is thought that the ability to make pictures in the mind can lead to an improved self-image, a greater sense of purpose, better health and can help a person obtain other personal goals. Visualization has formed a part of religious practices for centuries but it only became popular in the West when Shakti Gawain published Creative Visualisation in 1977. Gawains belief that people can use their imagination to help them achieve life goals soon spread beyond esoteric circles into mainstream culture.

Creative Tarot: Maybe youre exhausted, or you might still be feeling the cruel sting of the Five of Swords, but at least you are now moving forward. Slowly but surely.
Tarot Triumphs: This period of research wasn’t just about wading through books and poring over illuminated manuscripts. I also had the privilege of examining packs of antique cards in the British Museum and other London museums. Although I relish the ease with which we can now find good photos of historic Tarot cards online, nothing can quite compare with handling these old packs. I recall looking at an early version of Waite’s Tarot cards. The original printing blocks for these were destroyed in World War II, so today’s modern reconstructions do vary somewhat from the first designs. I had a strong sense as I studied them that the colors and meanings of the cards were heightened, and that the cards were imbued with extra, detailed significance that was lost when the printing blocks were reconstructed later. And there was the thrill of holding cards from older decks, often roughly printed and crudely colored, but with a real sense of history to them. They aroused an insatiable curiosity in me at the time. Who used them? Whose fortunes were read? What did the Tarot readers make of the pictures on the cards? The experience of touching and holding these sets of antique cards certainly added an extra dimension to my research.

Reversed Cards: Before GPS, Google Maps, and Siri, we had the stars to help us find our way. It was how we navigated our way across the physical world and how we knew where we were. Even in our age of infinite technology, the stars are still the go-to for mapping and aligning ourselves to the directions. One of the most fascinating things about stars is that they can only be seen when the sun is not shining. This teaches us about when to look for direction: obviously, not when things are going well and our lives are full of light, but when we feel alone, disconnected, or left in the dark. We could also say that when we are in action and full of creative momentum, we dont stop and ask whats next. Instead, we wait till we are done, complete, and still. For only then will there be a space for the contrast to show you the stars. This is only amplified by the energy of the eight that vibrates through the Star card. The eight brings us back to the physical world. It anchors us into the contrast of material experience, and the Star in the upright position offers a chance for wishes to come true and physical success to manifest. But when we turn the star on its head, we tend to see the world in a whole new light, pun intended.
