Reversed Cards: Are your ears turned on? This is a question my guides ask me if I am deliberately blocking an answer or information I really dont want to hear. They will nudge me gently at first, but then the signs, messages, and bumps get bigger and bigger until I cannot help but pay attention. If you have received the Justice card in the blocked aspect, there is a chance you are playing the ‘actively ignore’ game as well. It is not that you cannot hear what is being said to you; its just that you dont want to hear it. The truth is not providing you with what you want, so you have stuck cotton in your ears. Tarot Card Meanings: The Tarot; mysterious, esoteric and with an uncertain history. Tarot cards appeared in Europe, as far as most sources can tell, sometime in the 14th century. Where exactly they came from is uncertain with some sources suggesting they arrived via Egypt and others via Spain. Whatever their route they seem to have come from the East, possible with origins in India or China. Their arrival on mainland Europe coincides neatly with that of the first documented bands of ‘gypsies’, a word that has its own (incorrect) associations with Egypt. Some scholars of the esoteric have suggested that the Tarot cards have links to ancient Egyptian religions. However, it seems likely that the cards have links further afield and that it’s likely that groups of Roma gypsies encountered them on their own journeys from India to Europe.
