Faith, Spirituality Or Psychic Progression:

You may have removed yourself from a spiritual tradition from your past, or, for instance, finally told your romantic partner that you no longer wish to attend services of your/their faith community. This may feel like a ‘win’ and it is good that you stood up for your desires, however, your spiritual needs do not just stop or go away; how will you fill them? Don’t pretend that your spiritual needs no longer exist. Look for like-minded people, who see spirituality in the way that you do.

When the Five of Swords appears, you are likely to find yourself with some mixed feelings about life in general and about a few people in particular. Don’t ignore these, but don’t feel like you have to speak every word you’re thinking and feeling either, as you could ruin the very things that you want the most – such as close, intimate relationships with your friends and lover. Think several times before you really let someone have it even if they deserve it. Pick your battles.

Book Details
Elements of the Psychic World: Accounts of macro PK include the so-called physical phenomena observed during séances with mediums of the spiritualist era in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Such phenomena included table tilting, rapping and levita-tion, and the playing of musical instruments with minimal or no contact. In more modern times, claimed macro PK phenomena include metal bending and the production of images on unexposed photographic film by Uri Geller and other psychics.

Creative Tarot: There is some cruelty in the Five of Swords, and so often when we pull the Six, we are still feeling hurt. We might be back to work, but we can be so sad about what we just came through that we almost don’t notice. Or care. “Oh, this again,” we think. But when we settle in to do the work, at least we are able to do it.

Tarot Triumphs: Appropriately enough, for chapter three, I’d like to introduce the significance of the number three in relation to the Tarot. The sequence of the twenty-two Tarot Trumps lends itself well to considering numerical values, and straightaway it’s obvious that the twenty-one numbered cards divide up into three sets of seven.6 Three is therefore a good place to start exploring the numbering. ‘Three-ness’ may be less prominent in Tarot than, say, its sevenfold structure, which we shall come to later, or its interesting juxtaposition of twenty-one and twenty-two; but the pattern of three is, in my view, more useful in learning the process of Tarot divination. It opens up the idea of three as the prime basis for the creative forces of the universe, the three elements that lie behind any situation in human life, and it also gives us a base from which to explore the interactive possibilities of the cards.

Reversed Cards: The Knight of Pentacles doesn’t like to stray too far from home. In fact, he is much more comfortable in the confines of familiar territory. This is a key element to this card in the mirror aspect, for it lets you know that what you need is right within your grasp. You won’t have to travel to find it, nor will you need to move beyond your comfort zone. You will, however, need to broaden your level of awareness so you can see it. Expand and extend your peripheral vision and you will see what you have been seeking.
