Romance, Love Or Relationships:
In the context of love, the Six of Swords reversed can show that you are about to confront some necessary issues in order for your relationship to move forward. This does not have to involve fights or arguments, if you communicate calmly and well. This is not a time to hold things in, however, again, think before you start spouting things off. You could cause enormous damage if you are not thoughtful about how you ‘speak your piece.’
Card Meanings: Defeat, Floods, Stormy Relationships, Return From Travel, Eloping, Difficulties, Causing Trouble, Lack Of Progress, Nowhere To Run, Slow Healing, Obstacles, Out Of Frying Pan Into Fire, Disrupted/Cancelled Travel, Stuck, Trapped, Delay, Standing Your Ground, Rocking The Boat, Changing/ Abandoned Plans, Trouble Coming, Overwhelmed, Instability
When the Six of Swords appears, this is a great time for travel of any sort. It also can indicate metaphorical movement, a change in where you are inwardly. Usually this is a change for the better, whether the context is internal or external. Think about where you want to be.

Elements of the Psychic World: A meeting of a group of people who wish to communicate with spirits of loved ones or other supernatural entities. It is led by a medium who acts as a go-between for the group and the spirits.

Reversed Cards: The Six of Swords shows Mercury and Aquarius coming together for some future thinking, yet here in the retrograde aspect, Mercurys wires might be getting a little crossed and causing confusion. Not all journeys run smoothly, and not everyone makes it to the other side unscathed. If the Six of Swords has shown up in the retrograde aspect, you may need to slow down and do your daily tasks one at a time. Break up your larger goals so that you can stay focused on shorter deadlines, and keep checking to make sure that you arent actually going backward!
Tarot Triumphs: Tarot can be used very effectively for divination. If you ask a question of the cards, then shuffle and lay them out in a particular order, some answer is likely to emerge from interpreting that configuration. This requires an understanding of the Tarot symbols, and of the patterning of the layout, but it is a method of divination open to anyone who takes the trouble to acquire this knowledge. In case I seem to be stating the obvious, not everyone has used Tarot for this purpose. Many people have used the pack for card games, and others, particularly recently, study it primarily to develop spiritual or psychological insight. This book, however, is mainly about Tarot divination: that is to say, using the Tarot Trumps as a means to gain access to knowledge that is normally beyond our conscious grasp. In this way, we seek clarity or guidance in the situations of life. It is primarily a search for meaning. Tarot divination can also act as a mirror of the soul, reflecting someone’s personal state, including hidden elements that are not usually discernible.

Reversed Cards: Temperance is one of the major arcana cards linked to a karmic debt number in numerology, fourteen/five (14/5). In numerology, this karmic debt number is linked to freedom and temptation, which is interesting considering the placement of this card between Death and the Devil. Death itself is freedom, and the Devil knows all about temptation. Yet Temperance sits between them. She mixes her one and four and produces a five, the number of change. Change is in many ways an opportunity for deep healing work, so it is little wonder that Temperance is often seen as a healing card. Karmic debt numbers are also an opportunity for healing. They offer a space to rid oneself of past habits, cycles, and beliefs. They offer a space in which to be reborn, which is often the case after death. Here in the reversal aspect of our karmic debt fourteen/five, Temperance is offering you another chance to change from a different perspective. She is turning herself upside down so you dont miss any possible opportunities to amend your karmic debt. Just understand that here in the reversed aspect things will be more challenging. Traction will be harder to find, and the allure of Death and the Devil may be more tempting than normal. Regardless of its orientation, though, Temperance offers you the chance to walk the middle path, the road between the temptations. Just keep your eyes open and you too will find it even while standing on your head.
