Reversed Cards: The Queen of Cups can be a selfish, self-centered bitch when she wants to be, and here in the shadow aspect, she is letting her cat claws out. This queen is moody like the ocean and as unpredictable as the rip current. Any false moves and she will pull you under and watch you drown. Emotional manipulation is one of this royals greatest weapons, and if you have drawn this card, you are either on the receiving end of this queens wrath or you are the one throwing your emotional weight around. Just ask yourself if this is the best way to get what you want and if you are willing to live with the karmic consequences of your actions.
Tarot Triumphs: Were some of the Tarot images drawn from the processions of Triumphs? The historical evidence is indicative, though not conclusive. But whether or not our Tarot cards of today crystallized as part of this medieval pageantry, the experience of visualizing the images in this way, as a procession of larger-than-life scenes, is a powerful one.
