Romance, Love Or Relationships:
When The reversed Chariot appears, you may have come to the conclusion that you have met someone very special and that you need to push hard to get into this relationship or vice versa, you are feeling as though you probably need to get out of one. In reversal, there is a signal here that you should temper either impulse, especially that of pursuing a new relationship too enthusiastically. There is a reason why they say good things come to those who wait. Do not be afraid to wait!
Card Meanings: Lack Of Direction, Unsuccessful, Lack Of Self-Control, Coercion, Aggression, Vanquishment, Failure, Forcefulness, Defeat, Powerlessness
This is a card which contains within it great dynamism, strength and power. Often, when it comes up, it indicates a period where we feel we have struggled through a difficult and demanding time, battling against long odds to achieve the things that we need out of life. It does confirm that we have emerged victorious, though we may feel a bit battered and weary. So in one sense the Chariot marks the time of respite and peace after the battle is won. But it indicates something else very important too. After every battle, once we have rested and recuperated, it becomes necessary to begin a new flow of energy – we have to clean up the debris of the struggle, plan our next move, determine the direction we intend to move in now. But when the Chariot emerges it indicates something else as well – as a result of the difficulties and struggles now at an end, we shall need to change some of the features of our lives. So it also indicates big changes, and promises that these will be beneficial and rewarding, bringing further triumph and success with them.
So on a day ruled by the Chariot, allow yourself a big sigh of relief, and know that recent problems are coming to an end. Then consider what might be left to be finished up with regard to those events. And once youve done that, turn your face to the future and decide what would be the best new direction for you. Try to think through each step of this new impulse, so that your plans are carefully laid. Its important now to pay close attention to detail, because once these changes begin, life will be moving very fast indeed and there will be no room for catching up on things (I write this sighing somewhat, because Im already having trouble keeping up with the speed of my life at the minute. In readings, the Chariot often appears when hard control is or could be in evidence. At its best, hard control is not brutal, but firm and direct. It is backed up by a strong will and great confidence. The Chariot can mean self-control or control of the environment. This card also represents victory. There are many types of wins; the Chariot’s is of the win-lose type. Your success comes from beating the competition to become number one. Such moments are glorious in the right circumstances.

Complete Book of Tarot: Crowley/GD: Prince of the Chariot of the Winds. Clever, intellectual, rational, full of ideas, plotting, unreliable, harsh, obstinate, overly cautious. The traits displayed depend on the dignity of the card.
Tarot Triumphs: 9 R. A. Gilbert, a specialist in the work of A. E. Waite and the Order of the Golden Dawn, says that he has come across no evidence confirming the origins of the Celtic Cross Tarot spread, and writes: ‘It is tempting to assume that he derived it from the Golden Dawn, and from Florence Farr in particular, but there is no evidence at all to support the idea’ (email to the author, April 7, 2015).

Angel Encyclopedia: In 2 Kings 2:911, Elijah passes his role to Elisha in a dramatic scene. He strikes the waters of the Jordan River with his rolled-up mantle, causing them to part. The two cross. A chariot of fire and horses descends from the sky, separating the two. It takes Elijah to heaven in a whirlwind.
