Your Chosen Card – Lord of Athames Reversed Mage Deck
When reversed, the Knight of Swords tends to be impatient, insensitive, and overly assertive. He is in a rush to get things done and may be considering only his own needs to the detriment of those around him. The reversed Knight of Swords is a card of conflict and strife. His arrival sometimes heralds a period of misfortune. This knight often appears when there is concern about an illness, surgery, or possibly the death of someone to whom the querent is connected.

Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Complete Book of Tarot: Assessment, reflection, re-evaluation, standing at a threshold, seeking advantage
Complete Book of Tarot: Astrology: The stern taskmaster Saturn in the third decan of earthy Taurus, realm of the Knight of Swords and the Hierophant (Taurus). Saturn is linked to the World.
Tarot Triumphs: For this, lay out the cards in their numerical order, starting with the Fool, and try to see what kind of narrative is unfolding from the Magician at no. 1 to the World at no. 21. It’s possible too to try this in reverse order from no. 21 to no. 1. I suggest that you approach this in a spirit of play and enjoyment without forcing the story to take its full shape. You may also find that this exercise is worth coming back to a few times; it will probably grow easier and more enjoyable as you practice.

Reversed Cards: I know it can get hard to imagine this card has a positive element to it. I mean, the card is known as the Lord of Defeat. But even defeat can serve you. Walking away, letting something go, and letting someone have the upper hand, if only for the time being, can protect your mental well-being. Conflict is not always the answer, and sometimes it is best to let the game play out with no resistance or control from you. Trust the process. What seems like a defeat will quickly turn into something positive if you can just walk away and not look back.
