The Thoth Tarot The Two’s
The twos are the first depiction of multiple forces in each suite and they ask us to consider what happens when two separate entities come together. This question has a number of outcomes as we all can confirm. Sometimes unions are harmonious, blessed with the magic of instant connection and shared experiences. And sometimes unions are frightening, less between two personalities and more between parts of ourselves. In contrast to the singularity and power of the aces, twos are all about the themes of duality and connection. One may be the loneliest number, but it’s easy to identify. As we move into plurality things quickly become interesting and deliciously complex.
The Thoth Tarot Suit of Swords
The Suit of Swords is associated with action, change, force, power, oppression, ambition, courage and conflict. Action can be both constructive and/or destructive, sometimes resulting in violence. This suit can also mean hatred, battle, and enemies, and of all the suits, this one is considered to be the most powerful and dangerous. The Suit of Swords deals with the mental level of consciousness that is centred around the mind and the intellect. Swords mirror the quality of mind present in your thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs. Swords themselves are double-edged and in this way the Suit of Swords symbolises the fine balance between intellect and power and how these two elements can be used for good or evil. As such, the Swords must be balanced by spirit (Wands) and feeling (Cups). The negative aspects of the Suit of Swords (i.e. when the Swords cards appear reversed) include anger, guilt, harsh judgement, a lack of compassion and verbal and mental abuse.
The magnificent Thoth Tarot Deck contains the Kabbalistic and astrological attributions described in Aleister Crowleys Book Of Thoth. It is known for its striking beauty, as well as its depiction of an understanding of the occult that was gathered over a lifetime of study. In 1773 Antoine Court de Gébelin claimed that Egyptian priests coded the Book of Thoth into the images of the tarot.

Here are some snippets from a few of my favorite books
Tarot Triumphs: It’s possible that a card could become a personal guide or teacher for the day. You might feel a special affinity with one card in particular, or find that it prompts a deep emotional response. If that happens, accept this deeper level of contact, and write down what you learn or discover, but continue with the other cards and consider them as equals. It’s important to maintain a connection with all twenty-two Triumphs and to know them as a whole.
Elements of the Psychic World: One of the foundation stones of the Western occult tradition. Hermeticism has its roots in the fusion of Greek philosophy and Egyptian magic that took place in Egypt after its conquest by Alexander the Great in 332 BC.
Development for Beginners: As you can see, active involvement in the field of parapsychology has waxed and waned over the years, but this is clearly due to the fact that paranormal and psychic activities are not occurrences that can easily be studied and tested according to traditional scientific means. And in spite of inconclusive evidence, given the number of associations and research facilities, it is clear that parapsychology is a field of study that is always going to be of significant interest.
